Moving along--nothing to see

So, I'm moving on (again). This time on my own. Leaving the Death Star (AT&T) for Terra Power to help them develop their technical writing and document their Traveling Wave Reactor (you can read about it on Wikipedia--interesting concept--which is the other reason I took the gig).

Hopefully, the hours will be less crazy (I had daily project meetings start at 6:30 AM Seattle time), TOOO many meetings, plus no OT was allowed so when could you actually write?!

Purists could even comment that AT&T really wasn't a technical writing job:  You get assigned a project, you wait on Wireframes from the UX team, you try to find any existing content once you see them, or if it is used by (or comes from) another project; if it exists, you cross reference it to your wireframes and copy and paste the text into a content table, which then gets shipped off to the Dev team, which turned it into web pages.

One thing I know--should have taken a week off between gigs--been too much going on over the last two months (youngest stepdaughter had brain surgery to fix extra fluid on her brain, the youngest stepson is dealing with seizures out of the blue, lost my best friend to a bacterial infection she should have never gotten while undergoing cancer treatment).

Instead, I leave AT&T today and start Terra Power on Monday.

Yessh, I'm getting too old for this shit...
